Former Tata Group chairman Cyrus Mistry passes away, Mercedes car collided with divider on Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway; Two killed, two injured in accident

Former Tata Group chairman Cyrus Mistry has died in a road accident. The accident happened in Palghar, adjacent to Mumbai, on the Ahmedabad highway.

According to preliminary information, 54-year-old Mistry's Mercedes car collided with a road divider near Casa. The Mercedes airbags also opened after the collision, but two people, including Mistry, died. There were a total of four people in the car.

Police have released the details of the people in the Mercedes car. According to this, along with Cyrus Mistry, Jahangir Dinsha Pandole has also lost his life in the accident. At the same time, Anayata Pandole (Female) and Darius Pandole have been injured. Anayata Pandole is a doctor in Mumbai and she was driving the Mercedes car that was involved in the accident. Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis has ordered an inquiry into the accident.

Mistry was declared brought dead in the hospital
Palghar Superintendent of Police Balasaheb Patil said – The number of the car in which Mistry was traveling is MH-47-AB-6705. The accident happened at around 3.30 pm on the bridge of Surya river on the way from Ahmedabad to Mumbai. Two people died in the accident, while the other two were injured. Police said all the injured, including Mistry, were taken to a hospital in Casa, but two people were declared brought dead there. The remaining two injured are being treated.
