At the same time, Anayata Pandole (Female) and Darius Pandole have been injured. Anayata Pandole is a doctor in Mumbai and she was driving the Mercedes car that was involved in the accident. Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis has ordered an inquiry into the accident.

Cyrus Pallonji Mistry was born on 4 July 1968. He was the younger son of Pallonji Mistry, the head of Shapoorji Pallonji Group. Cyrus did her early schooling from the Cathedral and John Connon School in Mumbai. After this he went to London to study civil engineering. He also had a Master's degree in Management from the London Business School.

 

Cyrus joined his family business in 1991. He was appointed as the Director of Shapoorji Pallonji Group in 1994. Under his leadership the company built India's tallest residential tower, longest railway bridge and largest port. Pallonji Group's business spans from clothing to real estate, hospitality and business automation.

Mistry family holds 18% stake in Tata Sons
Cyrus' father Pallonji Mistry retired from the Tata Group's board in 2006, after which Cyrus Mistry took his place. Pallonji Mistry was the largest shareholder of the Tata Group. The Mistry family still holds an 18.4% stake in Tata Sons. He is the second largest shareholder in Tata Sons after Tata Trusts.

Father died in June this year
On June 28 this year, Cyrus' father and business tycoon Pallonji Mistry (93) died. After the death of Cyrus and his father, his family is survived by his mother Patsy Perrin Dubas, Shapoor Mistry, besides two sisters Laila Mistry and Alu Mistry.
